MahoRent General Rental Terms and Conditions

Driving License

  • Any valid driving license printed in Latin or Cyrillic alphabet is acceptable in Georgia for one year after the Car Renter’s arrival.

Age Restrictions

  • Drivers must be at least 23 years old and have a minimum of 1 year of driving experience to be automatically insured under the conditions listed below.

Booking the Vehicle

  • Online Reservation: Check available vehicles according to the date and location on the front page of MahoRent.ge and make an online reservation. Reservations are free of charge and no prepayment is required.
  • Email Reservation: Send your request and we will make a reservation for you.
  • Phone Reservation: Call our 24/7 service hotline at  +995 597 56 13 05 +995 597 92 88 29
  • For any questions regarding the reservation or rental period, you can use the Notes field during the booking process. We recommend checking available vehicles before making an email or phone reservation.

Changing the Booking

  • By our messengers
  • By Phone: Call (+995 597 56 13 05 +995 597 92 88 29  ) at least 24 hours before the start of the rental.
  • Changes are free of charge.

Cancelling the Booking

  • Cancellation is free of charge and can be done 24 hours before the start of the rental via customer account, site, or 24/7 hotline.

Conditions of Payment

  • Standard online reservations do not require prepayment. Confirmation is done via an activation link in the reservation email.
  • Payments by credit card are made upon vehicle pickup. Choose your payment method during online reservation.
  • Full payment must be made on the first day of rental to qualify for a no-deposit rental.

Zero Deposit Policy

  • All rentals are deposit-free.
  • Exceptions: A few premium class vehicles require a deposit, indicated during the booking process.
  • Payment Methods:
    • Cash: On the first day of rental.
    • Debit/Credit Card: (Visa or Mastercard) A 3.5% charge is added to the rental price. Card payment can be made during vehicle pickup.
    • Bank Transfer: Must be requested by email and paid at least 1 week before the start of the rental.
  • Payments in cash and debit/credit cards are charged in GEL according to the official exchange rate by the National Bank of Georgia. Bank transfers can be paid in EUR or USD according to the issued invoice.

Rental Prices Include:

  • VAT and all other taxes
  • 100% Casco Insurance (details below)
  • Any number of drivers
  • Unlimited mileage
  • 24/7 Customer support and assistance
  • Free cancellation

Casco Insurance (Included)

  • 100% vehicle insurance for accidents, fire, theft, and third-party damages.
  • 100% third-party insurance up to $50,000.
  • No franchise or deductions for accidents, theft, or other damages.
  • Tire damage is not covered by insurance and costs 60 EUR per tire.
  • Lost vehicle keys cost 100 EUR.
  • Damage or loss to the driver, passengers, or property inside the vehicle is not covered by insurance.

Maintenance and Breakdowns

  • Car renters must inform customer service about any vehicle problems to avoid further damage and ensure safety.
  • MahoRent is responsible for vehicle replacement in case of malfunction or breakdown in any region of Georgia or neighboring countries.

Rules Regarding Timing & Late Return

  • Return the car on time as negotiated. Delays of 1-8 hours incur a 50% rental day charge; delays of 8-24 hours incur a full rental day charge. Delays over 24 hours will be charged double unless negotiated.
  • For late returns, contact MahoRent support immediately.
  • Early returns will receive a 40% cashback for unused rental days if returned more than 24 hours early.

Delivery & Collection

  • Delivery to any city location or the airport is free of charge and can be selected during booking.
  • Standard office hours: 8 am to 8 pm, Monday to Sunday.
  • Out-of-hours service is 24/7 with pre-booked vehicle collection or delivery without additional charge.
  • Pickup and return during holidays/weekends are also free of charge.

Territorial Restrictions and Vehicle Types

  • Vehicles are categorized into:
    • City/Highway: Not allowed off-road.
    • Easy Off-Road: Allowed on all roads except Tusheti, Ushguli, Lentekhi regions, and Akhaltsikhe–Khulo road.
